Apple: iKnow Everything About Your Restaurant

An interesting patent application came across the wires recently. It seems that Apple has spent a lot of time thinking about how to i-ify the nuts and bolts of running the front end of a restaurant.

The company filed a patent (available for download here) for a system that brings together reservations, ordering, wait list management, and just about everything else using dynamic feedback and a certain amount of witchcraft.

The system knows the average amount of time it takes to eat certain dishes, as well as diners' allergies and preferences. It basically sees you when you're sleeping and knows when you're awake, and it uses all of that to update everything in real-time. Waiting for a table? Bang. The system, and thus your iPhone, knows that the person  sitting in what will be your chair just ordered a dish that generally takes 12 minutes to eat. Wait time updated. Pull out that iPhone again once you're seated to see recommendations of things you—you, in particular—might enjoy, and press a button to order.

Because everything talks to everything else, customers will even be able to search for restaurants based not only on reservation availability but also on the likelihood that a table will be ready by the time they walk into the restaurant.

This is just a patent, of course, and Apple files countless patents every year. Still, if this becomes reality, it will shake things up significant

Indulge Show Kitchen Buffet - Six Micro Restaurants in one. We had an great time and experience helping our Friends at Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, Illinois open there new buffet last week. 
Indulge has just taken Buffets to a new level. Our Culinary Team worked with the chefs and managers to Create amazing food using the Freshest ingredients, beautiful presentations, cooking items right in front of the guests,  Culinarybi's Menu Cloud is being utilized to manage the 6 stations, over 400 menu items  and recipes.

We had an Amazing time and experience helping our Friends at Canoe Journey 2012. 

Our Culinary Team was Spirit GreyBull ( Grand Forks, ND), Louis DeCouteau (Solen ND),

 Wenceslao Sandoval (Las Vegas), Stephen Diumenti, (Las Vegas), 

Travis Diumenti (Las Vegas), Brenda Hitchens (Las Vegas), Craig Connors (Las Vegas) and 

Wilmer Chamorro (Las Vegas)  We helped coordinate the Food Service for 

nine days of Breakfast and Dinner. 3,000 to 10,000 people per day.
